I have fished with Jeff for over 7 years. I have learned a wealth of knowledge and techniques from Jeff. Jeff also has a great sense of humor that makes the day fun no matter what the fish are doing. I highly recommend Jeff for a guide trip.

One of the best guys and fisherman to go out on lake Lanier with. Very knowledgeable about an amazing fishery. Very comfortable riding Triton boat is just the bonus. Thank you Jeff!

Jeff is the man on Lanier. Been with him twice now and both trips have been great. He’s a great teacher and knows where the fish are.

Jeff, thank you for an amazing two days of top water magic!! Phenomenal fishing thanks to your incredible knowledge of this awesome fishery! When you catch almost 70 spots topwater in two days, “epic” doesn’t quite come close!! See you again for sure. You’re a great guide and such a talented teacher! Neal and I both picked up so many great tips and advice, and we’re not inexperienced bass fishermen…a true testament to your expertise! I couldn’t begin to recommend anyone more highly for the best spotted bass experience ever!

I have had the pleasure of fishing with Jeff on a few trips and you won’t find a better person to guide you on the water. Jeff is not only an amazing and knowledgeable fishermen but he is very passionate about teaching his clients so that they can use the skills they learn and apply them to their own fishing trips. I highly recommend spending a day on with him on the best spotted bass like in the country. You will have a blast!

Fished with Jeff and can’t say enough good things. Wanted to learn more about the winter ditch bite and techniques. Helped me immensely and was able to go out and duplicate his info immediately. I was a guide years ago and am not very easy to impress. But Jeff did Impress me!! Can’t go wrong!

My wife and I had a great day on the lake with Jeff. He does not just put you on fish, but will teach you why and how the fish will be there. He has a great “fish brain” and is also a really good guy. Highly recommended.

It doesn’t get any better than Jeff Nail Fishing! Jeff is a master of his trade. Very personable and delivers a TON of value! His knowledge far exceeded any expectations and was happy to pass it along to a fellow angler. It’s clear to me Jeff puts in more work than anyone else to stay on top of the fickle Lake Lanier spotted bass. Jeff was very kind hearted, easy going, funny, and suited to meet any level of anglers needs. Couldn’t ask for anything more from a guide. After one successful afternoon trip landing at least 15 bass between my wife and I (not to mention losing a few extra) we couldn’t help ourselves but to go out for another trip the next day after such an incredible experience. Even on the next day with windy cold front conditions Jeff put us on them. If you’re looking for your first trip out on Lanier or trying to advance your game, Jeff is your man! Thanks again Jeff.

If you want a guide who knows the lake and how to fish it, you’ve got to go with Jeff Nail. Great day on the water today! I never had luck with top water, but they were hammering top today. So much fun! Caught PBs! Jeff is an excellent teacher too if you want to learn. An absolute wealth of knowledge and patience. I’m still trying to absorb all I learned. Great day that did not disappoint!

Booked a trip with Jeff on Monday the 17th. What a stand up guy. Professional charismatic knowledgeable and just a great guy all the way around. Took his time to explain how to choose an area to target fish. What baits work for the time of year. Even stoped to show me a couple cool knots. Highly recommend booking a trip with him.

Even though I was not able to hire Jeff for our August trip to Lake Lanier, he STILL gave me great tips and advice for a successful adventure thru conversations, and his update page (a bargain at $20 a month!!) Only halfway thru the week, and already doing great! Jeff, next time here, I WILL charter you to make it even better! THANK YOU!!

Another great day fishing with Jeff. Highly recommend him if you’re looking for great experience and knowledge of Lake Lanier. I have been out with Jeff a couple times and will continue with him on future trips. He is very willing to share and teach techniques that he knows works and will make every effort to make it a successful day. I walk away with great insights and most of all a great experience.

Great report (folks, this guy will flat out find these hard-to-find winter bites!). Get in the boat with Jeff—you will learn more in one day (or half day) than you will all winter trying to figure out the bite yourself! He is terrific!🎣🔨

We had a great time Jeff. Thanks for the informative trip. Success isn't just about the number of fish caught but the information and insight you passed on to us. We look forward to building on and honing the techniques you taught us today. You sir are an outstanding guide, a great teacher and most importantly a good man! Thanks again and tight lines

Jeff is a true professional and an expert on Lake Lanier. His ability as a finesse fisherman is uncanny. Jeff is also an excellent teacher and is a joy to be around. Any day on the water with him is going to be a great experience.

Jeff is dedicated to our fishing community, and I catch more fish listening and trying to put that info into the way I fish. The quickest way to learn, would be to book a trip with him and sit back and learn his techniques. Tight lines!

Jeff, Thank you so much for an awesome day on the water! I’ve never caught fish like that and learned so much! I’ve never caught bass that big or that many. And, I’ve never had anything nail top water like that! That was damned cool watching them hammer it. Anyway, really enjoyed it and greatly appreciate all of the knowledge. Great conversation too! Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks again Jeff!!!! Had a great time and WAY impressed with your guiding skills!! will definitely recommend you for future trips!

I cannot express how much Jeff taught me Thursday with the nonstop rain and poor conditions. If you want to learn how to fish the correct way, go see Jeff. Great time and a great person.

Great explanation on switching to the worm later in the day and also interesting to learn your technique to stay far away from the structure and working the bait away for 15-20 feet then recast. Super helpful. I’ve been learning freshwater the last 2-3 years and I’ve always had a hard time getting fish to come up for a top water bite past 8:30-9am and I thought I was just doing it wrong. My best luck was staking out near blowups and casting to them rather than pulling them off the brush. I always felt like that wasn’t doing it “right” but was happy to get a few fish in the boat. Your channel, reports and insights are extremely helpful to me and my family every time we are fortunate enough to spend a day on the water. Glad to hear we will get your reports and tips through the summer! Tight lines~

Jeff I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for the videos and the great information you provide. I have been fishing Lanier for at least 25 years and still find your videos extremely informative. Specifically speaking of the Jackall Riser. I have had several colors of the 007 riser in my box since March of 2024 and due to health reasons haven't had much of a chance to use them. Finally got out this Sunday with a light 6 to 7 MPH wind (SSW) and some cloud cover for a few hours and I must say HOLY MOLLY! When they hit that lure they are serious about it! What a blast! Fished 8:00 to about 1:30caught 12 missed 6 on the riser even after changing hooks before I left the house. But my heart stopped on every blow up! Very Intense, Thanks Again. Love your style as well!

Jeff, great day on the water this week. Truly appreciated all of your insights, willingness to share information, and the knowledge you have. My goal was simply to understand lake Lanier and learn new techniques. It’s been a transition getting back into fishing this past year again as it’s been awhile since fishing with my Dad on a regular basis. You made it a very comfortable day of simply learning new techniques and understanding how to read the lake. Thank you! For anyone that is interested in learning Jeff is a great teacher and certainly knows where the fish are. I highly recommend subscribing to his daily reports as well. I’ll be back as I apply the new techniques.

Jeff Nail is not only an incredible angler but an awesome teacher with tons of patience. Moving to NE Georgia I had no idea how to fish these Highland reservoirs. I hired Jeff Nail and so glad I did. In just the first lesson I learned so much about fish behavior, where and when to fish certain baits it was really incredible. Jeff also has tons of patience!! If you are considering hiring a guide I highly recommend Jeff Nail and I will continue to use him on several more trips as the seasons and fish behavior change!

Jeff is a very experienced angler and took us out to have some of the most fun I’ve ever had! He really works to teach you instead of just catching fish. He is very skilled at catching numbers of fish as well, that makes for a great time on the water! Everything in his boat was very neat and organized, and we will definitely be joining him on the water again soon.

Finally catching a few fish on Lake Lanier. I don’t catch the numbers of fish all you guys seem to post about. None the less I love catching spotted bass! I owe a big shout out to Jeff Nail Guide for sharing great information on Lanier. He is a wealth of knowledge on Lanier and would highly recommend him if you’re looking for a guide!

I have been out with Jeff on two occasions. Once in late fall and in the spring. On both occasions, Jeff put me on Fish. As an avid angler for many years, Jeff was a pleasure to fish with and was very informative. His instruction on new technics and the little nuances that come with spotted bass fishing are rare. Most guides I have fished with want you to catch a few fish and that is it. Jeff goes the extra mile with his instruction, which set me up for future fishing success when I was on my own!

I was doing research on the best Lake Lanier fishing guides and Jeff Nail’s name came up a lot. I was looking to do a specific type of fishing that some guides aren’t able to do. Jeff was more than happy to accommodate me and was eager for me to catch my target. He had an arsenal of lures and was prepared for anything the fish were in the mood for. Jeff spends a ton of time on the water tracking these fish. He knows a lot about this fishery and how to put people on the big ones. I wouldn’t hesitate to charter Jeff again or recommend him to anyone looking to aggressively target big fish. He is a veteran, an interesting guy, and one hell of a fisherman!

Can't get anything to commit on top. Followed Jeff Nails report and targeted 20-+5 rocky transition areas with a Niki rig and salvaged a 1/2 day before the googans took over.

I would recommend going if you can, Jeff was on them today. Great honest guy, with nice equipment. He went way beyond our expectations today. Thanks, Jeff

I wanted to say thank you. I read one of your reports and it really helped me have one of the best days fishing I've ever had on Lake Lanier. To top it off, it was during a club tournament. I had my first 20lb sack.
